About the event

Join us for an engaging, practical training designed to equip community volunteers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Together, we’ll explore the intersections of mental health, substance use, and trauma while building a deeper understanding of the challenges individuals may face. Participants will gain practical tools for compassionate communication, relationship-building, setting healthy boundaries, and responding to challenging situations with empathy, dignity, and respect. Through a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, we’ll explore how volunteers can foster trust, strengthen connections, and help create a safer, more supportive community for all.
